Negeri Sembilan is a small state but is abundant in terms of its attractions. Perhaps one of the most attractive places from around the state would be Port Dickson. Known more as PD, it is a common weekend retreat kind of place for the people in nearby cities. There are many hotel resorts lined up along the coast where most people can choose which one to stay in. in August, there is a Pesta Port Dickson which normally comes complete with cultural performances and great events.

The Pedas Hot Springs is a natural hot springs attraction that is located about 15 kilometers from capital Seremban. There are rooms here available for those who would like to rent for a while to enjoy the natural warm water. The Ulu Bendul Recereation is located also about 15 kilometers from Seremban and is engulfed within some lush mountains including the Mountain Angsana. Built in 1972 it is a cooling place to relax and unwind.

The Cultural Handicraft Complex is located in around Jalan Labu. Designed based on the Minangkabau architecture, there are various items on display historic items and handcraft. The Seremban Lake Gardens is a great outdoor park that is a great destination for those who enjoy slow walks by the park. The Sri Menanti Palace is a 99 pillared building that is used to demonstrate the 99 warriors of the various clans known as the Luak Luak. The building which is built entirely on wood, was built in the early 1900s with great architectural elements.

The Kota Lukut Museum Complex keeps on display the NASAU Shipwreck during the start of the city. This is remains of the Dutch East Indiaman ship. There are many other items on display like coins, sppon and shillings. The State Mosque is enacted with nine pillars that clearly symbolized the nine districts here. Located around the Seremban to Kuala Pilah road, there is a ‘Dastar’ which is a head rest usually worn by the head of state. One could also visit the Rumah Contoh Minangkabau in around Jalan Labu next to the State Museum. Known by the locals to be haunted, it was constructed in the late 1800s. Fort Kempas is located not too far away from Port Dickson and lies the grave of ‘Keramat Ujang Pasir – Ulama Sheikh Ahmad Makhtum’ next to the historically renowned ‘Batu Bersurat’.
